Cabins

Students and chaperones stay in traditional wood cabins that sleep up to 20. Each cabin is outfitted with single beds, cubbies, lights, and electricity. Boys’ and girls’ cabins are located on either side of the flagpole area, separated by tree lines. Students are responsible for bringing their own bedding (we recommend a sleeping bag and a pillow), but we keep a limited supply onsite if needed.

Shower Houses

Shower houses are conveniently located in the cabin areas, and restrooms are also located throughout the campus. Each shower house has private bathroom stalls, private indoor showers with changing areas, and outdoor showers for rinsing off.

Facilities

The facilities at WVOC are top notch, and many of the buildings have recently been refurbished. Meals take place in our dining hall, which seats up to 200 people. We have several multi-purpose buildings if lessons need to be moved indoors, but we like to keep the students outdoors as much as possible.

Sustainability

At WVOC, we recognize the importance of our natural environment and we’re doing our part to keep it pristine. We’re reducing our waste by composting and recycling whenever possible. By using safe and biodegradable cleaning products, we’re reducing contamination to our water system—which is especially important here at WVOC, where all of our water is spring-fed. Energy use is monitored closely, and we’re in the process of implementing solar technology to further reduce our energy demand. We’re constantly looking for ways to lessen our environmental impact, so stay tuned for more updates on our progress!
